DEPARTMENT OF DRAWING AND PAINTING
Department at a Glance The department of Drawing and Painting was started in the
year of 1979-80 with under graduate program. In the year of 2015 post graduate
level was introduced. Department now offers degree courses in drawing and
painting M.A. achieve through personal vision, self direction, creative ability
and technical knowledge. The U.G. and P.G. level programs expose the students to
various art disciplines like Life study, Portrait, Composition, Landscape,
Poster designing, Indian miniature, Screen printing, Tie and Dye, Folk visual
art as well as history of Indian and western aesthetics and painting and
contemporary art and artist.
VISION
Our vision of department is to develop
personal skills and critical thinking through curriculum that builds technical
skills, concepts and creative sensitivities essential to the artist.
