12.EXTRA- CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Different competitions, like Quiz, Extempore, Poster, Essay, Seminar etc. are
organized by Physics Association every year for physics students. This year
function was organized on December 16, 2009. Following students were selected
for different posts of office bearer. Prizes were distributed to the students
getting 1st , 2nd and 3rd positions in different events.
13. NON-ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES OF THE DEPARTMENT
Every member of the department participates in the administrative work of the
college, like admission, election, examination, annual sports day, cultural
events and other similar works, whenever required by college administration.
14. SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE DEPARTMENT DURING LAST FIVE YEARS
• Department was funded by DST under FIST program.
• Computer Networking Lab (supported by FIST).
• Availability of some research instruments (supported by FIST).

• Enhancement in the books of departmental library.
• Many students were selected in different competitive exams like GATE
M.Tech.,M.C.A.,M.B.A.,B.Tech.,B.Ed. etc.. every year.
IPT CLUB
Department has established Intellectual Property Right club for college student
(5). National Graduate Physics Examination has been held every year by Indian
association of Physics Teachers in the department
